Schools across Auckland have enjoyed this significant boost to their fundraising, and now you have the opportunity to benefit too. Here's how simple it all is. We provide:
You provide the venue and sell the tickets. With the show being so popular with children, parents and even grandparents you'll find tickets sell like hot cakes. Expect a sold-out show.
You can determine your ticket selling price. Most schools decide on $15 per head, which is great value and lower than the cost of attending the cinema for live entertainment! Some groups have priced the tickets as high as $40 and still had a terrific turnout. We suggest aiming to sell 200 tickets at $15 each; this would leave you with a nett of $2,200 after our fee, which is $800, incl GST.
That's just the beginning because most schools bring in over $3,000, $4,000, or more. The show is structured with an intermission to sell your prepared refreshments. Small packets of snacks, small boxed drinks, sausage sizzles, and coffee have proven popular. Some schools have also had great success selling homemade cookies and cupcakes. These sales can quickly boost your turnover by many hundreds of dollars. If you have a Countdown supermarket in your area, you're lucky. Countdown actively seeks to make donations in support of their local schools. In many cases, you can secure donated refreshments from them, so what you sell has zero cost.
It is an easy, success-proven formula that's fun for everybody. If you need to cancel the performance for any reason, there is no fee to pay. How is that for being risk-free?
You can get started immediately by downloading your high-resolution print-ready poster. It is an editable PDF that can be customised with your details. Click on the text to change the date and ticket price and add your information. You can use any PDF reading application. Why not print out a copy now to show your colleagues?
We recommend 200 people as being an ideal size audience. However, if your venue accommodates it, you can sell up to 250 tickets. Remember that you can still make it a fun and lucrative exercise and sell fewer tickets as you set the ticket price.
Approximately 80 minutes plus a 15 minute intermission in the middle (95 minutes including the intermission).
Weekday evenings are an ideal time to run the show. Evenings are delightful during daylight savings time when the weather is excellent. A Sunday afternoon show can also work well. Still, our weekends are often busy, so booking well in advance will be imperative. Whatever day you choose, make sure to avoid clashing with any major sporting events so you can ensure the best possible turnout.
